Who is VOICES?

It’s always rewarding to work on projects that have such a meaningful and positive impact on the community. One of favorite projects this past year was for a local non-profit working to make a positive influence on the Indianapolis at-risk youth. V.O.I.C.E.S. is an Indianapolis organization that offers an innovative way for communities to nurture and enlighten youth while creating an environment of success.

Through their programming, they begin to shift the perspectives of community members, schools, staff, board members, and the youth themselves. This task requires forgoing a lot of the traditional methods of how to create supportive environments and adapting proven inventive techniques to accomplish the same result.

V.O.I.C.E.S. was started to fill a noticeable void that was present in how we relate to our youth. This disconnect made it impossible to nurture, enlighten and create communities of success for the youth of Indianapolis. A group of friends consisting of published authors, professional artists, professional spoken word artists, and passionate community members came together through art for a common cause.

This group saw the powerful healing that can take place through art, specifically spoken word and poetry. The idea was born to take this art form to the kids as they were in need of a platform to express their anger, pain, happiness, and other emotions in their own way.

How We Helped:

We started by doing a discovery session with V.O.I.C.E.S.; we spent time getting to know them, understanding what their story was and how they started, and why they needed our help. What we found were people with a similar passion, and an organization that we wanted to fully support with our services.

As V.O.I.C.E.S. started to grow, they found themselves in a position a lot of emerging non-profits and businesses find themselves in. They lacked consistent branding, imagery and messaging. We knew they had a great story that was important to tell. With this story and a clear idea of what V.O.I.C.E.S. wanted to accomplish, we went to work forming their new identity. We created new branding, logo, and messaging that could invigorate their organization as well as excite potential sponsorships.
